“I always rely on real experiences because I write from my unique perspective. I can only speak of what I know. But this is the first time I put my real life into it. It’s no secret…I’ve been married for nine years…it just didn’t work out, you know?” the “Made for Me” singer said.

Long added that she “doesn’t have time for drama.”

“I don’t have time for nonsense,” she said. “This is one of the most amazing moments of my life, and if you can’t celebrate it with me, I’m so sorry, but I’m going to have to leave you behind. I can’t. You wake up angry every day, and we have nothing to be angry about, okay we are, but we all have it.

While Long loved his ex, she ultimately didn’t want to wait for him to mature.

“I think it takes incredible strength to realize that this was the love of my life at one point – and he could probably be really good for me if he got his act together – but I’m not willing to put my life, my passion, and my happiness on hold for you arrive. Unfortunately, you might get it in a year…but I’m sorry, I’m probably over it already,” the “Pain” singer said.
