Gypsy Rose Blanchard is celebrating another milestone in her relationship with boyfriend Ken Urker – a romantic home-cooked meal.
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star, 33, told her followers she was cooking an Urker dinner for the first time in a YouTube video posted Friday, Aug. 30 (with highlights posted on TikTok).
“So I’m cooking dinner for Ken tonight,” she said to the camera on the YouTube video. “This is the first time I’ll be cooking dinner for him. He’s usually the one who always cooks for me.”
“He’s at work right now and he doesn’t know I’m planning this romantic dinner tonight,” she said of Urker, before revealing that she’s making spaghetti and meatballs and showing off a recipe she follows from the book.

After showing off a pan of meatballs cooking on the stove, Blanchard admitted that she preferred to eat her spaghetti with a “Lit’l Smokies” sausage cocktail, so she had a special bowl for her dish.
She had “Creole seasoning” with peppers and onions, a jar of Prego sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes with green chiles, and seasonings for the sauce, as seen in a video from Urker’s kitchen.
Blanchard filmed a sped-up version of the sauce being made before moving the camera into the bedroom for them to talk while folding the laundry.
The mother-to-be explained to the camera that she planned a “romantic night” for Urker because he was “amazing” during her pregnancy.

“I want him to be happy and I want him to want to be with me,” Blanchard continued before launching into a long story about when the couple first met while she was in prison and how they went through a lot while they were together. and separately.
Urker appeared at the end of the video to tell viewers what he thought of his girlfriend’s first romantic night.

“I’m excited to try [Gypsy’s] cooking, but it’s really hot,” he said before taking his first bite.
“It’s very good, very good,” Urker announced after a forkful of spaghetti. “10 out of 10.”

Blanchard made another food news first earlier in August when she tried Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes for the first time.

“If it was a cold day, maybe warmer would be better, but this is south Louisiana, so I like it iced better,” she said after trying both varieties.
Blanchard, a Munchausen by proxy victim, has served eight years of a 10-year prison sentence for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. While in prison, she married Ryan Anderson in 2022 and filed for divorce in April. On July 9, Blanchard and Urker announced that they were expecting their first child together.
