My daughter whispered ‘mummy help me’ on phone as Hamas terrorists surrounded room she hid in – I’ve heard nothing since

A tearful mum told last night how she listened helplessly as Hamas savages abducted her young daughter and elderly mother.

Galit Dan, 53, was five miles away when a terrified Noya, 12, whispered her last message: “Help me.”

The girl and her 80-year-old grandmother are believed to be held hostage in Gaza.

Hamas terrorists also allegedly beheaded babies in a barbaric raid on a nearby Israeli village that left 40 youths dead.

Last night, the farmer’s wife, Galit, told how she had waved Noya over to spend the night with the girl’s grandmother, Carmela, hours before the Hamas attack.

As gunfire and explosions erupted near the Gaza border on Saturday morning, Galit fled to a fortified panic room in their home with Noya’s stepfather and her other daughter, Tomal, nine.

Noya and her grandmother did the same and spent hours texting each other in the dark, too terrified to speak.

Then, heartbreakingly, Noya sobbed in a final whispered voice message, “Mom, I’m scared. There are people in the house — help me.”

Nothing has been heard of her or her grandmother since and they are not among the 20 bodies identified in the kibbutz – or small farming community – of Nir Oz.

Instead, they are feared to have been taken with more than 150 hostages to bunkers in Gaza, where Hamas is threatening them with execution on video.

It comes as…

  • Israeli troops mass at Gaza border ready for ‘execution’ as 300,000 stand ready for ground invasion
  • Horrifying details continue to emerge following a massive attack by Hamas terrorists on Israeli civilians over the weekend
  • Babies and young children were allegedly slaughtered, and some were beheaded, in Kibbutz Kfar Aza
  • In Israel, 1,200 people were killed, while in Gaza the death toll reached 950
  • Strikes on Gaza continue – with reports of rockets also being fired at Israel from Lebanon and Syria
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Hamas ‘worse than ISIS’ in a phone call with US President Joe Biden
  • Families are still desperately waiting for news of the captured Israeli hostages – including tattoo artist Shani Louk

Galit, Inon’s husband Ilan and Tomal were rescued after 10 pm in their house in Kibbutz Kissufim.

Galit, evacuated to a hotel on the Dead Sea, told The Sun last night: “The pain is indescribable.

“My little girl went to spend the night with her grandmother and sent us messages while these animals were coming to get them.

“Now the most we hope is that they were kidnapped and that they will somehow survive.

“I am desperate to see my beautiful daughter home and I am asking everyone in power to do everything they can.

“I’m living every parent’s nightmare — every parent in the world will feel our pain.”

Galit held back tears as she said Noya was a high-functioning autistic child who was disturbed by noise.

Her stepfather Inon, 55, said: “Noya is a very sweet, very funny, very smart girl — but she’s also extremely sensitive because of her autism.

“It was heartbreaking to hear her last voice message pleading for help when we were so helpless and surrounded by men trying to kill us.

“I don’t know how he’s going to cope, but I just hope he’s still with his grandmother and doing his best to protect her.

“But Carmela is 80 years old and vulnerable herself.

“What do they hope to achieve by doing this to innocent, helpless people?”

He told how they fled to the panic room – fitted to all properties in the area – after sirens went off early on Saturday.

Inon recalled: “We heard gunfire and then explosions and could hear Hamas soldiers shouting in Arabic ‘Slaughter the Jews.’

“None of us spoke and we were left in complete darkness when the power went out.

“Then they entered the house and tried to open the door of our room, but they couldn’t get in.”

Meanwhile, another villager, Shmuel Harel, 33, said Hamas gunmen shot his 90-year-old grandmother Jina Semiaitz twice in the head.

He continued: “Then they went to her 71-year-old cousin, Ofer Ron, and shot him in exactly the same way.

“These are the new Nazis.

“This was a holocaust.”

Columns of Israeli tanks gathered around Gaza last night as Hamas rockets continued to hit Tel Aviv.

Peace activist Gershon Baskin — who helped formulate the 2011 deal with Hamas — warned: “Israel will not negotiate this time.”
