A NEW mum made a shocking discovery when her husband died just days after giving birth to their son.
Marianne Fraser (32) was in a blissful baby bubble after welcoming her son Soren in December 2022 with her husband Liam (25), a musician.

But on New Year’s Eve she walked in, holding her new son, to find Liam having taken his own life.
Marianne’s world fell apart and she was readmitted to the hospital with Soren because she was so grief-stricken she couldn’t eat.
When she returned home, the police returned her husband’s phone and a quick look at it turned her world upside down.
She discovered that Liam had been unfaithful during their marriage after finding text messages and a gift card.
Heartbroken, Marianne put all her energy into caring for her son and making music.
She is now preparing to release her new album before embarking on a tour of Southeast Asia with Soren, who is now 19 months old.
“I found him, I held Soren,” said Marianne, a primary school teacher and musician, from the Highlands.
“I still have gaps in my memory from it, I couldn’t eat and I was re-admitted to hospital for a few days.”
When she got home and the police returned Liam’s clothes and phone, she found evidence of his affair.
“I found phone calls to one person while I was in labor,” Marianne said.
The mother (25) was found ‘face down dead on the bedroom floor’ by her ‘soul mate’ husband seven months after the baby girl was born
“It was just blow after blow, I kept thinking I was going to wake up from some painkiller after the birth.
“I feel like everything is very infected.”
Despite her initial shock, Marianne is now glad to know the truth.
“I wish I knew, I believe the knowledge gave me some sort of conclusion.”
She described the mixed emotions she felt after discovering her late husband’s infidelity.

“It seems like everything has been erased,” she explained.
– I was in complete shock, it’s bizarre to be angry at someone who is no longer alive.
However, Marianne decided to focus on raising Soren instead of dwelling on the past.
“I have a choice – I can sit in my house and rot or I can show my son what an amazing life there is,” she said.
She said: “I focused on doing the best for my son. I did everything in my power to do that.”
She went to a festival with Soren at the end of January to see one of her favorite bands.
Marianne said: “It was the first time I felt this sense of calm.
“I knew at that moment that I had to go back to music and use it as my therapy.”
Marianne and Liam met through musicians in the local area and the couple were married for four years.
“We were trying to start a family, it was a good time to tell our families, it was so exciting,” she explained.
– Everyone was surprised, but also delighted.
Soren was born five weeks early weighing six kilograms and returned home on Christmas Day 2022.
“It was foggy because everyone was there,” Marianne recalled.

– Everyone was in love with the new addition.
Marianne spent the year after Liam’s death working on her own music – and focused on making her happy instead of sad.
She took Soren with her to 12 shows and festivals and says that he “likes it”.
When her album Open Hearts and Magic is released later this year, she will be traveling with her child.
“It’s a one-way ticket to Southeast Asia,” Marianne explained.
“I wanted to give Soren an amazing life, raising him alone. What’s the difference doing it somewhere else?
“He is happy, healthy and thriving, I am happy to have him.”
Marianne’s new single ‘Yes, let’s talk’ is out now and the full album is out in the autumn.
