‘Naked and Afraid’ Teases New Episodes with Plenty of Tears but — as Always — No Clothes (Exclusive)

New season of Naked and scared returns with an all-new, all-naked cast!

Fans of Discovery Channel’s hit series are in for a treat as a series of fan challenges will take ordinary people with minimal outdoor experience from the comfort of their couches into a steamy, bug-filled wilderness.

“I’m so excited to get naked!” contestant starts in a sneak peak shared exclusively with PEOPLE.

“Freedom!” he yells as he gets out of the Jeep and out into the open as he removes his clothes. “Ah, nothing beats the feeling of the ground beneath you as you walk.”

However, not long after, a naked woman sings a different tune and starts whining as she walks through the wilderness with no shoes on the rough and hot terrain.

“Oh, there’s nowhere to stop,” she sobs as she sits bare-backed on the dusty rocks she finds on her journey.

With nothing but a bag around his neck, he continues to cry for his new home.

The clip cuts to a compilation of videos featuring others who signed up for it Naked and scared using their wits to survive adversity, from a woman cutting down a tree and a man trying to catch fish to another participant crying.

“It’s just the most painful experience,” says one woman with leaves and other debris stuck in her camera’s night vision mode.

The challenges will range from 14 to 21 days — and are just as grueling and raw as ever, according to Discovery’s press release.

Joining Naked and scared the family will be a circus performer, inexperienced townspeople, and even a previous contestant looking for redemption after poisoning the water in her last challenge. All must face the dangers of Mother Nature in the hope of survival.

A familiar face joining the upcoming season is none other than Ashley Morin, a contestant who appeared in seasons 12 and 15, but her time on Naked and scared 2021 takes over the cake.

Morin is perhaps best remembered as a divisive woman.

In the infamous episode, she and contestant Matthew Garland were sitting in the wilderness when Mora’s butt made a disturbing sound.

“Pisces make me fart,” she said with a nervous laugh as Garland’s expression looked completely mortified.

The bloat continued before Morin admitted, “We have a problem.”

After the “wet and juicy” shocker was revealed, she and Garland spent the next few minutes discussing how she had contaminated their only water source.

“My fear no. 1 are removed by circumstances beyond my control. I don’t want to be medically tapped because [of] other people’s bad decisions,” Garland said into his camera.

Discovery

This season, Morin wants to make amends with his new partner, boat captain Andy Wildlander, and hopes not to poison the waters again.

Other contestants include an intensive care nurse and a banker who suffered brain damage in a devastating car accident who will try to survive 14 days in the Mexican wilderness, and a man and three women who form a tribe and try to last 21 days. .
