The officers tried to save the person who was in the corridor, but unfortunately, it was determined that the person had already succumbed to his injuries. After that, the police officers asked for security and called all the family members to leave the house. With no answer, they proceeded with a thorough search of the premises, which led to the discovery of the lifeless bodies of Terry Janway and her grandson, Dalton.
Terry Janway is believed to have shot and killed her husband and grandson before taking her own life when officers arrived at the scene, according to police spokeswoman Lynn Hamlin. Authorities are treating the incident as a murder-suicide, with Terry Janway considered the only suspect.
