Natalia Bryant on Balancing Modeling Career with School and Taking Style Tips from Sister Bianka, 7 (Exclusive)

The rising fashion star fronts Victoria Secret’s new spring PINK campaign, which features loungewear, knit tops and workout sets galore

Balancing a full course load at the University of Southern California with a modeling career is no easy feat — but Natalia Bryant handles it with grace.

Natalia, who fronts Victoria Secret’s latest spring campaign PINK, opened up to PEOPLE about embracing the moment while juggling her busy schedule.

“If someone says [being a full-time student] it’s not hard, they lie because it is,” Natalia, 21, the oldest daughter of the late Lakers star Kobe Bryant, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “It’s a full-time job in itself. But I think the most important thing is to have a great support team, family and friends.”

In the modeling world, Natalia says she wants to “embrace everything that comes.” She recently made her Versace debut at Milan Fashion Week — and hopes to do more runway work in the future.

“I like to keep an open mind. As far as juggling a regular school schedule and modeling, I think you just have to embrace whatever the future brings,” she says.

The launch of her new PINK campaign was celebrated at a recent lunch at The Pendry restaurant in West Hollywood, where she wore PINK poplin pullovers and a Cambridge knit sweater. For Natalia, this is a nostalgic collaboration as her earliest memories with the brand involved trips to the mall with her mum Vanessa Bryant.

“I loved going to the mall and going to Pink and picking out sets of sweatpants or even their pajamas,” she says.

The campaign ranges from loungewear to trendy workout sets and underwear, all of which are offered in a variety of colors and patterns. Meanwhile, Natalia, who loves layered looks, says the collection goes “hand in hand” with her simple style.

“There are such classic pieces,” she says. “I love pairing my jeans or cute pants with sweaters or even a cute button-up.”

Growing up, Natalia always looked to her mom Vanessa (41) for style tips. Now from time to time he asks to borrow things from his closet.

“I think everyone’s mother has some kind of inspiration for their daughter’s style. Even my mom, she likes to layer clothes and she likes to layer jewelry,” she says. “So that was one of the biggest influences in my life in fashion and outside of fashion.”

Adding: “If she lets me borrow some of her pieces, then that’s the best day in the world.”

As the eldest, Natalia also likes to see fashion through the lens of her sisters.

“My sisters are such fashionistas, especially my younger sister Bianka, who is seven years old. She is such a strong personality and knows what she wants. She wakes up, knows what she wants to wear, knows how to style, she will know how to style me,” she says. .

She continues, “She says, ‘I think you should wear this jacket with these jeans.’ And so having little sisters has been an amazing experience. It’s so great to be able to see fashion and life through their eyes.”
