The actresses were forced to pull their dresses off each other after getting stuck during Sunday’s star-studded event. Portman, 42, shared a close-up photo from their meeting on her Instagram Story on Monday.
“For the third time my dress and @mspike’s dress came together … @goldenglobes,” Portman captioned the photo.

PEOPLE choose the best dressed stars at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards!
Portman attended the event wearing an embroidered Dior Haute Couture dress with an eccentric multicolored floral design on the bottom. Her hair was slicked back, drawing attention with silver DeBeers earrings.
The mother of two attended the event as a Golden Globe nominee for Best Performance by a Female Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy nominated for her work in May December. The film is based on the real case of Mary Kay Letourneau and actress Julianne Moore. The award was won by Emma Stone, who dedicated the award to her husband Dave McCary.
Portman previously told PEOPLE that she now welcomes the opportunity to get ready for the red carpet.

“A lot changed for me. In my 20s, I felt very oppressed by it. I thought, ‘This is shallow. It doesn’t mean anything.’ And then I had kids, and now I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m not covered in avocado and sweat, and people are taking care of me. This is so nice.’ I’m enjoying it now,” she told PEOPLE in December.
Portman shares children Aleph, 12, and Amalia, 6, with Benjamin Millepied, and she told PEOPLE that they have also influenced the roles she chooses to take on.
“A big part of my decision-making right now is what can I do to impress my kids. Being on Thor setting up and flying around with the stunt people was really cool for them,” Portman said.

Pike, 44, also attended Sunday’s event as a nominee. The actress was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for her work in Saltburn. The prize was awarded The Holdovers star Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
Pike said Varieties Marc Malkin that she decided to pair her lacy, all-black ensemble with a headpiece because of a skiing accident she suffered over the Christmas holidays. Although she noted that she was “cured,” she said of the addition, “I kind of fell in love with the look.”
