Navneet Aditya Waiba was born in Kurseong town, Darjeeling, West Bengal. She grew up surrounded by music, watching her grandfather, Singh Man Singh Waiba, train her mother to sing. Their family has passed down the ancestral tradition of Nepali folk singing from generation to generation, so Navneet received education in Nepali folk singing from her mother since childhood. Navneet is pursuing her MA in English from the University of North Bengal in West Bengal, India. She served as a senior flight attendant for Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong.

Navneet Aditya Waiba’s singing styles mainly include Nepali Folk, Tamang Selo, Maruni, Sorathi and Madalay. She began her professional singing career after her mother’s death in 2011, which made her and her brother aware of the need to preserve their mother’s legacy. The two began working together in 2015. On November 3, 2017, they released an album titled “Amma Lai Shraddhanjali – Tribute to Mother”, in which Navneet Aditya Waiba sang the iconic song of her mother Hira Devi Waiba. The production and financial management of the album was done by her brother Satya Aditya Waiba.
Navneet Aditya Waiba has released singles like Dhiki Kuti (2020), Tin Dang Tin Dhang Madal Bajyo (2020), Udho Jada (2021), and Sirphul Dhuna (2024). To preserve Nepali folk music heritage, Navneet Aditya Waiba established “Hira Devi Waiba Pratishthan” on May 12, 2023, under which she organizes events and performs live with the famous Nepali band Kutumba.
