Neve Campbell Says Her Party of Five Character 'Probably Ended Up with Justin' — and Is Still Close with Michael Goorjian (Exclusive)

Neve Campbell glimpses her ex Party of five character’s future.

For the Spring 2024 issue of PEOPLE StyleWatch, the 50-year-old actress speculates about what her character Julia Salinger might be up to after the ’90s drama ended in 2000. Julia, the middle child of the five Salinger orphans, ends the series by leaving San Francisco at the age of 20.

But what happens after he is separated from his siblings?

“She would have been a professional writer,” says Campbell. “That was her thing. She always wanted to be a professional writer. Maybe she wrote a few novels, maybe she writes for The New York Times. I don’t know. She is a bright girl.”

“She’s probably done with Justin. That’s what people want me to say,” she continues, referring to Julia’s longtime love, played by Michael Goorjian.

She reveals that even 30 years after the Fox series, she and her family are still close to Goorjian, 53. The actor is godfather to Campbell and her partner JJ Feild’s two children, Caspian (11) and Raynor (6).

As for the rest of the cast, she lives close to Lacey Chabert, who played Julia’s younger sister Claudia. “She was [a] a tiny little girl when I met her. It was so crazy. And she is a happy mom and an amazing woman,” he said Scream the star says of Chabert, 41.

Although he doesn’t see his older brothers Scott Wolf and Matthew Fox on screen as often, the cast is “still pretty tight.”

“We played siblings and siblings who went through a really traumatic time,” he explains of their relationship. “We lived like that every day, and at that time we were shooting films, so we worked 16, 17 hours from Monday to Friday, 10 months a year. We spent more time with each other than any of our family or friends. Well of course you get tight.”

Chabert reiterated that sentiment in January 2023 during an appearance on Good day DCinviting Party of five assign her “family”.

“I think about who I am today and how much of that is the result of that wonderful group of people, and we are forever connected and connected,” Mean girls the actress said then.

Wolf, 55, said PEOPLE Now 2019 that he became emotional while re-watching episodes of the series on Netflix. He described the experience as “revisiting your early life and your family, because it was really a different family.”
