Nicholas Braun Kisses Girlfriend as Succession Wins Best Drama Series at 2024 Critics Choice Awards

Nicholas Braun turned the 2024 Critics Choice Awards into a stylish Sunday date.

The actor attended the ceremony at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, and the two shared a kiss at their table as his show Succession won the award for the best drama series. Braun, 35, joined actors Matthew Macfadyen, Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin on stage as creator Jesse Armstrong accepted the award.

Braun posed for solo photos on the red carpet before the awards, even though his special guest was seated next to him inside.

For the last season, Succession they also beat Snook for best actress and Culkin for best actor in a drama series on Sunday. In his speech, Culkin, 41, laughed as he talked about how his wife, Jazz Charton, occasionally plucks his ear hair from time to time – a habit his co-star Snook, 36, picked up during production.

Before his victory Sunday, “they both started taking turns pulling my hair, and it was really painful,” Culkin said in his speech as the crowd laughed. “And now, I’m here talking about it instead of saying what I was ready to say, which is now gone. And I’m probably out of time.”

As early as October 2021, Braun said The New York Times that he is “fascinated by romance and courtship” because “I’ve never really been in a long-term relationship” in real life.

“I long for it, and yet I am not capable of it,” he said cat person the actor said then. “I’m going for it and then I hit a wall where I’m like, ‘I can’t go any further into this. I have to get out.’ ”

He added: “I believe it will happen at the right time with the right person. Until then, it’s fun meeting people and seeing what he does.”

SuccessionThe awards season spotlight continues on Monday, as Braun is among the show’s nominees for the 2023 Emmy Awards. He is up for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Cousin Greg.
