Nicole Eggert embraces her new look.
On Saturday, the actress (52) shared a selfie from the hospital on Instagram while she was being treated for breast cancer. “Egg head ♥️🥚♥️”, she captioned a video of herself posing with a freshly shaved head in a hospital bed. She wore goggles with a mask under her mouth and had an IV attached to her chest.
The selfie was her first since she shared a video on Instagram the day before shaving her head.
“Maybe healing isn’t so much about changing ourselves, but allowing ourselves to be who we are – Madeleine Eame,” she wrote in a post where her daughter Keegan, 12, helped shave the back of her head.
The Baywatch Alumina’s decision to shave her head due to her breast cancer diagnosis comes two months after she revealed the news to PEOPLE.
Eggert was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform breast cancer in early December after gaining 25 pounds. in three months and had “terrible pain” in her left breast in October.

Stars who faced breast cancer and shared their stories
After finding the lump during a self-exam, Eggert underwent a mammogram and three biopsies, which determined she had cancer.
“I can definitely feel it,” she said of the lump, which will have to be surgically removed. At that time, she had not yet started chemotherapy and radiation and did not know if the cancer had spread throughout her body.

“It’s there. It needs to be taken out,” she continued. “So it’s just a matter of whether I have to do the treatment before the surgery or they can do the surgery and then I’ll do the treatment after.”

“I’m panicking where I’m like, just get this out of me. You’re sitting there and it’s in you and you’re like, every second that goes by and it’s in me. It grows, and you just want it out,” Eggert revealed.
She also admitted: “This journey was difficult for me. This was not an easy sell in a lifetime.”

Eggert’s primary concern is her children: daughters Keegan and Dilyn, 25. She said her “biggest fear” is not being there for them.
Although her older daughter is “an adult,” she said of Keegan, “I have a 12-year-old at home that I’m the only carer for. I don’t have a family. I have nothing.”
“I immediately realized that there is no way to succumb to this. This is something I have to go through. This is something I have to overcome,” the star continued. “She needs me more than anything and anyone.”
