Nischelle Turner, an American journalist, made history in March 2021 when she became the first black woman to host the coveted chat show Entertainment Tonight. ET executive producer Erin Johnson announced that Turner will co-host the show with Kevin Frazier. The position has been vacant for more than a year after the show’s previous host, Nancy O’Dell, stepped down in 2019.
Turner and Frazier were the show’s first two black hosts to work together. Turner previously worked as a correspondent for the show and won four Daytime Emmy Awards. She started working for Entertainment Tonight in 2014.

She left WEHT after about a year and a half to work as a reporter and anchor for WVUE-TV FOX8 in New Orleans. Her coverage of Hurricane Katrina was one of her highlights in New Orleans reporting.
