While he was studying for his master’s degree, he was discovered by a coordinator at a modeling agency. Nishant said in an interview-
One day, while I was traveling in Kolkata Metro, I met a coordinator who offered me a role in a daily soap opera. He told me they were looking for a tall and handsome man. He invited me to audition. I said, I didn’t have any questions, but I didn’t know what to expect at the audition. He explained everything to me and I went to Mumbai. Surprisingly, I got selected and moved to Mumbai. Everything happened after that. I think it’s all fate. “
The modeling agency Allied Model offered him a two-year modeling contract. While he was working as a model with them, they invited him to audition for Star One’s television series “Miley Jab Hum Tum” (2008); he was selected and played the role of “Adhiraj”. He has appeared in several Hindi television series including “Sasural Genda Phool” (2010), “Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani” (2011) and “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega” (2018).
He has also appeared in Bollywood films like Kamina Lovely (2016), Ishq ne Krazy kiya re (2015) and Love Training (2018). None of his films did well at the box office.
