On December 5, 2023, Bharatiya Janata Party (SRRKS) president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was attacked by three unidentified assailants at his office-cum-residence in Shyam Nagar, Jaipur Shot. Notably, Godala had previously claimed responsibility for the murder of another gangster, Raju Thehat, in Sikar, Rajasthan. Godala was associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs, who were charged with plotting the murder of Punjabi pop singer Sidhu Moosewala and Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan is notorious for issuing death threats. Gogamedi’s murder was captured on CCTV cameras, which show two men shooting him multiple times. Jaipur (South) Deputy Commissioner of Police Yogesh Goyal revealed that the two attackers were identified as Rohit Rathore Makrana from Jaipur and Mahendragarh from Haryana Nitin Faji.
