It is expected to be the most requested tour in British concert history.

Warring brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher worked to reconcile and finally negotiated a band reunion.

A music insider said: “This is a reunion no one thought would ever happen.

“Liam and Noel have been bitter enemies for over a decade but are secretly back in touch.

“The deal was put on the table and they both said yes – much to the surprise of the people around them.

“There will be concerts in the UK next summer and Noel and Liam are excited to be back together.”

The news will be officially announced in the coming days, and Wednesday will mark 15 years since Noel’s dramatic exit from the band.

Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium have been hailed as venues for mass concerts.

Rumors of the historic reunion were reported in today’s Sunday Times.

They claim Glastonbury could be headlined – 30 years after cult album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?

Liam helped fuel the speculation this morning when he tweeted: “Never liked that word EX.”

When one social media user responded to an article about the rumored location: “Heaton Park [is] terrible for concert venues,” Liam replied, “See you down there, big fanny.”

Noel raised eyebrows last week when he shared rare praise about Liam in a new interview ahead of the 30th anniversary of their album Definitely Maybe, which takes place this Friday.

He said: “I can’t sing Slide Away and Cigarettes & Alcohol and Rock ‘N’ Roll Star and Columbia and all that.

“I mean, I can do it, but it’s not the same. It’s the delivery or tone of his voice and attitude. I don’t have the same attitude as him.”

He added: “If I sang the song it would sound good, if he sang it it would sound great.”

After forming in 1991, Oasis enjoyed a highly successful career throughout the nineties with multi-platinum albums and sold-out concerts and tours.

The full history of the Oasis brothers feud revealed

By Joanna Kavanagh

IT’S one of the most famous family feuds in music history – the break-up between Liam and Noel Gallagher.

  • September 1994 – Noel temporarily quit Oasis after Liam threw a tambourine at his brother.
  • Summer 1995 – While filming (What’s The Story) Morning Glory in Wales, Liam brought a group of people back into the studio while Noel was trying to work – he responded by allegedly hitting his brother over the head with a cricket bat.
  • August 1996 – Liam pulls out of their MTV Unplugged gig, leaving Noel to take the lead – Liam then watches from the audience and takes a jab at his brother. Liam didn’t manage to join them on the American tour either.
  • May 2000 – After another fight in Spain in which Liam questioned the legitimacy of Noel’s daughter Anais, Noel left the band for the second time. Although he returned, he did not complete the last leg of their European tour.
  • June 2005 – At the Heineken Jammin’ Festival in Italy, Liam left the stage during the Champagne Supernova. In an interview with Spin magazine, Noel said of his brother: “I’ve learned that instead of arguing with him and ending up in a fight, I work on his psychology and now he’s completely freaked out by me. He’s actually scared to death of me.”
  • April 2009 – In an interview with Q magazine, Noel made his infamous comment about Liam: “He’s like a man with a fork in a soup world.”
  • August 2009 – Oasis were due to play at the V Festival, but were canceled at the last minute as Liam reportedly had laryngitis. Noel claimed his brother was “hungover”, which later prompted Liam to take legal action. Noel apologized and the lawsuit was dismissed.
  • At the end of August 2009 – the big split of Oasis. As the band prepared to go on stage at the Rock En Seine festival in Paris, an argument broke out, with Liam wielding Noel’s guitar “like an axe”. The concert was cancelled, along with the rest of the tour, and Noel issued a statement: “It is with great sadness and great relief that I have to tell you that I have left Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they want, but I just couldn’t work with Liam for a day longer.”
  • July 2011 – Noel announced the release of the first self-titled album of his High Flying Birds. Liam’s response was “SPEAK”.
  • November 2015 – Following the news that Half The World Away will be used in a John Lewis Christmas advert, Liam has apparently called his brother a “sell-out”. But Liam’s camp issued a statement saying he had said no such thing.
  • June 2017 – After the Manchester terror attack in which 22 people were killed, Liam accused Noel of not turning up to a tribute concert at Old Trafford. Noel’s camp responded by saying he was out of the country and had donated proceeds from Don’t Look Back In Anger to a fund for victims of crime.

But Liam and Noel had a strained relationship and their feuds became legendary.

Then, in 2009, while headlining the V Festival, they had a big fight backstage and Noel announced he was leaving.

He then formed the High Flying Birds and Liam created his own band, Beady Eye.

Back in 2017, Liam hinted that he had reconciled with his brother, ending the nearly decade-long feud and the possibility of a reunion.

He tweeted: “Want to say Merry Christmas to the NG team, it’s been a great year, thanks for everything, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, HOW HAVE YOU BEEN LG x”

When fans got overly excited about the prospect of a Britpop reunion, Liam answered them.

To the fan who wrote: “Which team? You’re not going to break down on Christmas are you Liam when NG doesn’t speak to you?”

Liam replied, “He’s already reached.”

However, Noel previously said he would never change after trolls attacked his family online.

Then in July 2018, Liam tweeted that he wanted an Oasis reunion and begged Noel to get involved.

Then again in March 2020, Liam called for an Oasis reunion with brother Noel to raise money for the NHS amid the coronavirus crisis.
