Olivia Namath Biography
Olivia Rose Namath was born on the 11th of December, 1990. Rose Namath, her grandmother, gave her name.
Her paternal grandparents were Catholics of Hungarian descent, Rose (née Juhász) and János “John” Andrew Namath, a steelworker. Olivia’s Hungarian-born great grandfather, András “Andrew” Németh, known as “A.J.” to his family, arrived at Ellis Island in 1911 on the steamer Pannonia and worked in the coal and steel industries of the Pittsburgh area.
Olivia’s maternal ancestors, the Mays, came from a wealthy family in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
Olivia’s Parents’ Relationship History
Joe and Deborah Lynne Mays, Olivia’s parents, married on November 7, 1984. Deborah’s friend’s backyard in Coral Ridge Country Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, hosted the low-key ceremony. There were dozens of guests at the poolside wedding.
Joe Namath, Olivia Namath’s father, first met his now ex-wife in the early 1980s. At the time, the veteran quarterback had decided to enroll in a voice coaching class taught by Arthur Joseph, a well-known vocal coach. Mays was also enrolled at the same institute at the time.
While Joe was just beginning his class with Arthur, Mays was nearing the end of hers. Mays and Arthur had known each other for a short time, and she had even told him about her wedding plans. Arthur stated in Joe Namath’s biography that it was a vision of hers. She had always wanted to marry a football player and start a family.
They eventually met, and the next day they were dating.
Joe and Mays welcomed their first child, a daughter named Jessica Namath, about a year into their marriage. Joe had her second daughter, Olivia Namath, on December 11th, 1990, several years after her first.
Olivia’s Parent’s Divorce
Joe and Mays’ relationship began to deteriorate after they had two daughters. Deborah eventually moved out of Joe’s house in September 1998 and began living in California. Brian Novack, a surgeon, fell in love with her there. Mays allegedly stated that she was becoming bored with Olivia’s father and that she had developed feelings for Novack.
Olivia’s biological parents divorced in 2000, and her father was awarded sole custody of her and her sister. The father of two now lives on 1.5 acres in Tequesta, Florida. Joe’s home includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a boat dock, and a swimming pool. In addition, the Tequesta neighborhood has a private 18-hole golf course.
Olivia Has A Younger Sister
She only has one sibling, an older sister named Jessica who is about four years her senior. Jessica attended the same university as her father, the University of Alabama.
Olivia’s older sister married Brian Kennedy, with whom she has a son. Jessica filed for divorce in August 2019 after their relationship fell apart.
Olivia Namath Had Her First Child When She Was 16 Years Old
Olivia Namath gave birth to a daughter, Natalia, in West Palm Beach with her husband in August 2007. She was 16 years old at the time. Natalia was said to be living with Mays in California at the time for an unknown reason. She was still in high school in Florida at the time.
Olivia’s father, Joe, told the Palm Beach Post that there are some wonderful things in life, and Natalia’s birth was one of them. He added that he was relieved that everyone was in good health.
The father’s name was listed on the baby’s birth certificate as Edwin Baker III, who was 19 at the time. Olivia’s husband Baker is a native of Jupiter, Florida. In 2006, he was arrested three times on suspicion of crystal methamphetamine possession, grand theft, and burglary. A year before, he was arrested and accused of robbing a McDonald’s restaurant.
According to the Daily News, Joe’s ex-wife took the baby to live with her in California so Olivia could finish high school.
Olivia’s Relation With Her Husband
Olivia Namath married Baker at the Ca’d’Zan, the historic mansion of circus king John Ringling, in 2013. Natalia, the couple’s daughter, was previously mentioned.
Baker, Olivia’s husband, is a professional artist whose work is rooted in street art, and he has drawn inspiration from artists such as Picasso and Basquiat.
Baker created the collage I Get Better Looking Every Day in May of 2018. (2018). It was for Art New York Baker’s fourth annual edition.
Olivia Was Arrested For Possessing Drugs
Olivia was stopped for speeding in West Palm Beach three years after the birth of her first child, in 2010. An officer later discovered an open bottle of rum and marijuana in her vehicle.
Olivia, who was 19 at the time, was driving in a silver Mercedes when police pulled her over, according to the Palm Beach Post. According to the Post, an arresting officer discovered half a pound of weed after investigating the car. Olivia denied knowing anything about the substances.
Olivia And Her Sister Put Their Parents’ Patience On Test
In a 2005 interview with the New York Times, Joe Namath stated that raising his daughters between the ages of 12 and 17 was the most difficult. The former footballer claimed that the years 12 to 17 were difficult. He recalled the incidents and stated that somewhere along the way, it became almost as if they were not being realistic or rational.
He still thought the moments were fine because the main thing was learning to be patient and continue to listen rather than just hear. Olivia’s father added that he understood those moments wouldn’t have mattered during those years.
Her Mother Assisted Her Father In Obtaining Sobriety
According to a 2015 ESPN profile of Joe Namath, his wife Tatiana Mays was instrumental in helping him get sober in 1987. Mays, according to Olivia’s father, gave him an ultimatum, saying that if he didn’t stop drinking, their family would be broken up. Joe eventually quit, but he relapsed around the time of his divorce in 2003, and most notably during Monday Night Football that same year.
What Is Olivia Namath Doing Right Now?
Olivia, unlike Jessica, does not appear as frequently with her father Joe Namath. However, this does not imply that she has become estranged from her father. On several occasions, the former Super Bowl champion has appeared alongside Olivia and her husband, Edwin, at the latter’s art exhibition.
Olivia, in contrast to her father, is difficult to find on social media. While it’s difficult to say she has no internet presence, she appears to be uninterested in platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Her husband isn’t far behind her in this regard.
The couple has done a good job of staying out of the reach of tabloids. As a result, obtaining Olivia’s current way of life has proven difficult. Speculations, however, suggest she is very busy being a mother and possibly supporting her artist husband.
