Olivia Rodrigo was made to be a fashion icon.
It’s only two months into the year, but the “Vampire” singer, 21, has already given us plenty of style inspiration for our mood boards — and she’s not done slaying yet.
On February 23, she kicked her out Intestines World Tour at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, Calif., and rocked a handful of edgy bare skin looks that only cemented her status as a pop star.

WITH intestines, Rodrigo’s second album about bad decisions, love, heartbreak and self-reflection, the Grammy winner dedicated herself to a grown-up version of the punk Y2K aesthetic she formulated from her sour era.
With her boldest look yet, she brought the same energy to the opening night of the tour. To paint a picture, Rodrigo wore only a bra and hot pants at one point during the concert.
Her outfits are so good that we had to break down each one, starting with this one:

This dazzling that literally sparkles like a Twilight vampire in the sun. Rodrigo fired up his crowd with the hit “Bad Idea Right?” and we can all agree that having this set in her closet was one of the best sartorial decisions Rodrigo has ever made.
Stylist and costume designer Heather Picchiottino sourced Rodrigo’s custom Swarovski crystal mesh top and skirt from Michael Schmidt Studios. It reminds of the singer’s VMA-dress Ludovic de Saint Sernin, which was encrusted with 150,000 crystals from that top jeweler.

Then he goes a little darker with his style. In a sea of back-up dancers dressed in ballerina pink, the singer can’t be missed in a black sequined bra and high-waisted hot pants (the risque moment we talked about earlier).
No great concert is complete without a quick change of clothes, and Rodrigo transforms his all-black look by donning a Rabanne-esque mini dress with sheer embellishments.

Rodrigo’s sexy side comes out even more with this deep red jumpsuit, which screams ’80s rock star (Rodrigo’s line from pleated skirt to hot pants will be discussed another time).
Picchiotti’s custom-made ruby red piece, which is styled with torn stocks studded with twinkling stars, is the perfect match for Rodrigo’s guitar jam session.

Rodrigo wasn’t alive when No Doubt released “Just a Girl” in 1995. Yet here she is, nearly 30 years later, putting the spotlight back on Gwen Stefani’s famous feminist slogan “I’m just a girl” with a $20 tank top from online store Phantasy, which specializes in all things baby (as Generation Z prefers to say “shrunken crop top”).
It is all the more appropriate because Intestines is Rodrigo’s love letter to girlhood. In all 12 tracks, she screams, screams and melodiously sings about insecurities, growing up, idolization, beauty standards and, in this particular case, fantasizing about getting back with her ex while simultaneously plotting his downfall for sweet, sweet revenge.
Stefani and Rodrigo may have 33 years between them, but they both understand what it’s like to be a girl — it’s messy, romantic, and sometimes you just need to play around.
