This is Sasan Amir and he is a 27 year old photographer and director living in Germany. He often visits the African savannah to click on beautiful photos and videos showcasing the local fauna.
Carnivores often occupy a special place in their portfolios. Recently he has been going through a very unusual scenario.
He places himself in an “ambush” and observes the steppe in search of successful attacks. Then he suddenly saw a wild leopard coming towards him.
Sasan was frightened and began to slowly rise to his feet, showing the beast that he was aware of his approach and was ready to defend himself.
The leopard paused for a moment and took a moment to decide what to do next. And he started heading towards Sasan again. He then kissed the photographer, then nuzzled his head and sat next to him as if he wanted to cuddle him.
It’s like he has to talk. He even started purring like a cat,” Sasan describes what he went through.
It took him a few minutes to realize a wonderful story had just happened to him! He was so lucky and honored to be able to communicate with a wild animal so close.
At this point, the cheetah is completely relaxed and does not show any aggression. He even licked Sašana several times, as if they had known each other for a long time.
Luckily, the cameras were nearby and he was able to capture unique footage of interactions with the wild predator. It was a rare opportunity to touch the wild and he was lucky enough to do so without any consequences to his life and health.
