TikTok user MrWright shared the image with his 7.4 million followers in a video clip, where he presents a super challenging illusion.

“Only one percent of people can see this optical illusion,” Wright said by way of introduction.

A simple line drawing of a ladder appeared above him.

“This looks like a normal staircase,” the TikTok star said.

“Turn your phone over and it should appear upside down, that is, until it blinks,” he continued.

Once you blink, the magic happens in your brain. “The right side up should be back now,” the content creator said.

In the comments, thousands have reported their own success with the illusion, with some people not being able to see the movement at all.

Some were skeptical of the poster, even accusing him of manipulating the clip.

“He spun it in 14 seconds,” claims one onlooker.

Another person said they had the same reaction, but confirmed that the original poster wasn’t quick.

“I even paused the video to test it because I thought the image had changed,” they countered.

“The picture doesn’t change at all,” another person agreed. “It looks like that because of the three shades used.”

Several viewers were unable to explain why the illusion worked for them immediately.

“I didn’t blink,” wrote one viewer. “I just watched it go round and round.”

“I don’t have to flip the phone,” another advised, telling the others to focus on shading. – I only see gray spots.

“That’s because it’s the same on both sides,” another viewer agreed. “You don’t even have to turn the phone, just focus on the other side.”
