The episode, written by series co-creator Trey Parker, is rated TV-MA L in the US. It pokes fun at the Transportation Security Administration’s post-9/11 airport security measures, as well as well as the gender-specific social norms surrounding toilet seats (specifically, how most women prefer their male partner or child to do it for them).

South Park
South Park is well known for brilliantly weaving disparate social constructs into cohesive satirical plots. Unfortunately, this episode fails to connect the two main ideas of the WC and the TSA convincingly.
Perhaps it would be easier to say that it is an ordinary job. However, the nuances almost make it passable. TSA employees are portrayed as grossly incompetent, uneducated, nosy, and inadequate government officials.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone glued to the guy are satisfying as always. especially considering that the man has a reputation for touching your private parts every time he travels. Here we can appreciate the abundance of death and violence related to excrement.

By inadvertently leaving the toilet seat up, fourth grader Clyde Donovan has his mother Betsy scold him in front of his friends Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick after he almost falls over. Clyde is embarrassed by this and begs the kids to be quiet in class.
While Butters Stotch is surprised to find that everyone is sitting on the toilet with their backs to the cistern, he sat in front of the cistern to use it as a shelf for reading and drinking, but Cartman informs the entire class the next day.
Then Betsy shows up and scolds Clyde yet again for leaving the vanity seat up before walking him home.

Reception
The show received a “Good” rating from IGN’s Max Nicholson, who noted the “double whammy” of dealing with the Transportation Security Administration and the social benefits of toilet seats.
Nicholson said that while the thread above was funny, it wasn’t particularly funny, and that Cartman was effectively used to set the pace for what he would otherwise have found a challenging joke throughout the episode.
Nicholson also felt that while the TSA mockery has gotten a bit stale, there is still room for comedy, especially regarding the masturbating TSA security camera monitor.
Nicholson felt that the “sueance” scenes were less funny as they contained moments that were clever but not particularly memorable and felt contrived, though he praised how the two plotlines came together at the end of the episode.
Review
Trey Parker and Matt Stone gave viewers a double whammy in the season 16 premiere of South Park with their parodies of the TSA and the toilet seat. The show made a name for itself by dealing with social norms and current events.
There was still some hidden humor, although calling it the Traffic Safety Association might seem a bit old-fashioned. The death of Clyde’s mom at the beginning of the episode was a wild way to start.
When a new season begins, I always forget how utterly repulsive the show is, but after that initial bout of sadness, I’m back in South Park mode.
