Pirelli’s 2025 calendar looks like a beauty.
Then again, when isn’t it?
On August 14, the brand behind the famous calendar released a selection of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, announcing the stars and photographer of the year.
That led us to Padma Lakshmi’s Instagram, where the author and TV host shared her own collection of videos from her time in Miami shooting her photos for next year’s project.

“A while ago you may remember that I went to Miami for a secret project. Well I can finally reveal that it was a PIRELLI CALENDAR shoot!!” she cooed. “I was so happy to be reunited with the amazing @ethanjamesgreen who I love working with. The @pirelli calendar is iconic and when I modeled in Italy in the 90’s I always wondered what it would be like to shoot for him.”
Lakshmi, 53, who posed in bare underwear under a see-through dress as well as a white look in the ocean, continued in her caption to call the shoot a “bucket list item” for her younger self. She praised the entire creative team for feeling “safe” and “looked after” on each set and was delighted to be working with Pirelli.
“I’m glad I waited until now to do this because I appreciate it so much more. Ladies don’t ever let anyone tell you it’s too late. Your best life and work could be right in front of you. That’s how I’ve been feeling lately and I hope you will be the same,” she finished.

Other stars this year include Jodie Turner-Smith, John Boyega, Hunter Schafer and Simone Ashley.
The Bridgerton star, 29, shared a behind-the-scenes look at her own shoot on Instagram on Aug. 14, writing, “Take a peek at my shoot for the @pirelli calendar 2025 💛🖤 Captured by @ethanjamesgreen. It was an honor to work with you again Ethan, so proud that I’m part of this project with you.”
She also thanked the stylist Tonna Good and the team, as well as Pirelli.
“Many thanks to @pirelli for inviting me to the classic. I loved every second of this moment in Miami 🖤💛”

Pirelli’s 2025 calendar — affectionately known as The Cal — was shot by Ethan James Green in May and June in Miami. The following is a long series of beautiful calendars that the Italian tire company releases each year, which have become collector’s items. Last year’s film, directed by Prince Gyasi, featured Naomi Campbell, Idris Elba and more.
