Pankaj Udhas was an Indian ghazal and playback singer who died at the age of 72 on 26 February 2024. He was known for his works in Hindi cinema and Indian pop. Pankaj started his career with the album Aahat in 1980 and recorded many hits like Mukarar 1981, Tarrannum 1982, Mehfil 1983, Pankaj Udhas Live at Royal Albert Hall 1984, Nayaab 1985 and Aafreen 1986.

Pankaj Udhas was married to Farida Udhas in 1982. On 12 February 2014, the couple celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary in Mumbai. Pankaj Udhas was blessed with two daughters Nayaab Udhas and Reva Udhas.
After a prolonged illness, Pankaj Udhas passed away on February 26, 2024 and his death was reported by his daughter Nayaab Udhas through an official statement on her Instagram. In the post she wrote,
It is with a very heavy heart that we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on February 26, 2024 due to prolonged illness.

Pankaj Udhasa’s daughter Nayaab got married to Ojas Adhia, an Indian classical musician in Mumbai on December 17, 2019. She wore a red color lehenga with heavy kundan jewellery.
Ojas wore a beige sherwani with gold embroidery. They threw a party for the couple at a posh hotel in Mumbai.
