Park Eun-bin, who is now raving about her performance in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, said she turned down the role many times before accepting it. On June 24, the 29-year-old actress spoke with Allure Korea about how she landed the role and what made her accept it. Park Eun-bin began by revealing that she has received scripts for Extraordinary Attorney Woo and the 2021 blockbuster series The King’s Affection at the same time. She said she is unsure of her ability to play an autistic person.
“She (Extraordinary Lawyer Woo) was conceived around the same time as The King’s Affection.” I felt it was wonderful to do, but it was also packed and I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off properly.”
She had the courage to take on the role after seeing the author’s and director’s complete trust in her.

Park Eun-bin started out as a child actress in the entertainment business. She first attracted attention with the youth drama Hello, My Twenties! from 2016, but she achieved popular fame with the historical romance drama The King’s Affection, which was released last year. The actress now continues her triumph with another great drama, Extraordinary Attorney Woo. In a recent interview with Allure Korea, she discussed her initial reservations about the position.
She admitted that she went to great lengths to portray an autistic person in an appropriate manner so as not to offend or hurt anyone. She even refused the offer many times, but screenwriters and filmmakers trusted her. Although it was unusual, the team waited many months for the actress to join the project.
“I was a bit worried if I could do it well enough without hurting or upsetting anyone.” So I refused several times, but they waited for me. Because the writer and director believed in me, I found the courage to reciprocate their faith and accept the role.”
Park Eun-bin was cast in Extraordinary Attorney Woo last October, just a month after production on The King’s Affection ended. Although it is not known when the production of the serial drama began, it was paused for a while in June when a member of the production team tested positive. When talking about The King’s Affection, she said that she considers herself lucky since, despite the flurry of periodicals, she is probably the only woman who has had the chance to play a king of the Joseon Dynasty.

After expertly portraying a king and a lover, the 29-year-old now introduces viewers to Extraordinary Attorney Woo as a brilliant lawyer.
