Patricia Manterola competed in the ‘Juguemos a Cantar’ competition, reached the final, but failed to win. She started her modeling career when she met the founder of the band, Luis de Llano. Luis de Llano encouraged her to be part of the new Garibaldi project.
Garibaldi is a group of men and women who dress in a loose version of the traditional charro costume and perform contemporary renditions of classic songs. Manterola began her acting career in 1987 with a commercial for Vanity Fair and then starred in the television program ‘Papa Soltero’ in an episode of Operation Cupido in 1989. Later in 1993, she made her film debut as Patty in the comedy Garibaldi, ‘Donde quedo la bolita’.
