Travis Kelce celebrates the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory as only Travis Kelce can.
At Wednesday’s Super Bowl victory parade in the Chiefs’ hometown to celebrate their fourth championship, the 34-year-old tight end looked tipsy as he grabbed the microphone to address Kansas City fans.
Breaking his words hard, Kelce told the crowd, “If you know this song, sing along!” before launching into his own version of Garth Brooks’ 1990 hit “Friends in Low Places.”
“It’s all my roots, I showed up in boots and ruined the Niners thing,” Kelce began, struggling to get through each line as his teammates laughed and cheered him on.
Kelce karaoke continued as the NFL star swayed back and forth, reading lyrics from his phone.
Kelce sang the line, “He took that glass of champagne…” before pausing and looking over his shoulder at teammate Patrick Mahomes, laughing, “Pat took that glass of champagne, I promise you.”
“When I… and I toasted you,” Kelce continued to sing, losing his place in the verse before Mahomes took the mic and helped him finish the song.
Parade organizers soon cut them both off and started playing the chorus when Kelce took the microphone from Mahomes and tried to continue singing. Their teammates all laughed and danced as Mahomes took the mic from Kelce again — this time for good, while humming along to the song.
What you didn’t see on TV at the 2024 Super Bowl and After Parties: Taylor Swift in the club, Beyoncé and a fan on the field
Kelce had a great season by all accounts. On top of the Chiefs’ third Super Bowl victory in five years, the football star has become a household name — thanks in part to his high-profile relationship with singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.
Since going public in September, their fairytale romance has become one of the league’s top stories, with the Chiefs famously winning in Swift’s presence. It all culminated in a great Super Bowl that went into overtime, where the Chiefs triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in the most-watched telecast in US history.

After Sunday’s win, Kelce found Swift, 34, amid the chaos to kiss her in celebration. “Thank you for coming, honey,” he told her as he turned on the microphone Inside the NFL. “Thank you for coming halfway around the world.”
At the podium after their Super Bowl victory, Kelce took the microphone to shout “Viva Las Vegas!” to the stadium.
“Believe it baby, we’ll be here next year,” Kelce promised the crowd.
Travis Kelce says he and Taylor Swift are ‘on top of the world’ after winning the 2024 Super Bowl and Grammys.
The high-energy party continued into the night, where Kelce, Swift, brother Jason and Travis’ Chiefs teammates partied at Zouk Nightclub and XS Nightclub.
The next day, the “Cruel Summer” singer posted a TikTok zoomed in on her boyfriend’s face before panning to reveal her parents, Scott and Andrea, chatting next to her. Swift and Travis were also filmed singing the pop star’s songs to each other — fittingly, from “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me.”
As the season draws to a close, Travis plans to accompany Swift on the European leg of her sold-out Eras Tour.
“Now he’s ready to take some time off and come out to Taylor like she did to him,” a source told PEOPLE. “There’s definitely a lot of attention on them, but Travis has done a great job of deflecting attention and focusing on what’s important.”
