Patrick Mahomes’ little one recently reached a big milestone.
At a press conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 28, was asked if he could communicate with his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and two children, Sterling Skye, 2, and Patrick Bronze Lavon III, 14 months, while he is at practice for Super Bowl on Sunday.
“Yeah, I always FaceTime them whenever I’m not with them and talk to them during the day. Bronze is running around now, starting to walk,” he told reporters.
“Sterling likes being able to be on vacation and stuff. Hopefully I’ll be able to see them during the week when I get some free time, but it’s always great to be able to talk to them.”

He later revealed at a press conference that his entire family was already in Las Vegas for the big game. “They are already here and I hope to get there maybe today or tomorrow and see them,” he said.
“It’s always great to have them there with me, and Sterling runs the household, runs the house and sees every single room.”
Speaking to PEOPLE in January, Brittany said her little ones are “very attached to me,” which makes it easier to keep an eye on them during play days.
“I watch them all the time at the games, but it’s special to have them there, cheering on my dad.”

Although Sterling started out shy on match days, the kid is blossoming as he grows up.
“My oldest daughter can finally somehow understand what’s going on and where she is, and she loves watching her dad play soccer. She can see him a kilometer away and pays attention and follows what’s happening with him,” said the proud mom.
“She really enjoys going to the field and seeing him before the game. I think it’s a very special moment wherever I get to bring them to a game and they get to watch their dad play football.”
She also said that her son started walking at that time. “We’ve been trying to get him to walk for a while now, so he’s getting there. He’s almost there. He’s taken a few steps on his own, but he’s not fully walking yet.”
