Paul Reiser Gets Into a Family Feud in The Problem with People Trailer (Exclusive)

Paul Reiser co-wrote and stars in new film ‘The Problem with People’

Paul Reiser goes to battle with a distant relative in his latest film.

PEOPLE has the exclusive first trailer for Reiser’s The problem with people ahead of its world premiere at the Austin Film Festival on Saturday.

In the comedy, Reiser (67), who also wrote it, plays Barry, an American who is invited by his long-lost Irish cousin Ciáran (Colm Meaney) to visit their family in Ireland. Ciáran seeks this at the behest of his elderly father, who wants to reunite his extended family who moved to the US decades before.

When Barry arrives in Ireland, he is happily welcomed by his extended family—until Ciárn’s father dies suddenly and it is revealed that he has left Barry and his family property in Ireland.

Tensions rise as Barry finds out and decides to build a home near Ciáran’s, giving way to a family rivalry that spirals out of control.
