Pete Davidson Steps Out for Sweet Date Night with His Mom at Brooklyn Nets Game After 'False' Rehab Rumors

Pete Davidson is coming out to the Big Apple.

The Saturday night live The alum, 31, made his first public appearance since rumors surfaced that he had returned to rehab following a relationship with Bachelor alum Maria Georgas. He attended the Brooklyn Nets game on Tuesday, November 19, where he witnessed the New York team narrowly beat the Charlotte Hornets.

Joined by his mother Amy Waters Davidson, the comedian was all smiles as he hugged his mum and posed for a photo.

Shortly after the speculation began, Georgas, 30, clarified the news about their relationship status, writing on her Instagram stories: “Never dated Pete. Fake rumours. I’m friends with his sister. Case closed.”

In another post, the reality star also clarified that Davidson “is not in rehab and has been sober for months.”

“I can’t believe this s— it’s very insulting to his recovery and my mental health,” she wrote. – He is literally at home.

Earlier this month, Davidson stopped by Saturday night live for a surprise cameo.

Davidson and cast member Andrew Dismukes joined host John Mulaney for a skit about Duane Reade from the Port Authority of New York bus station. During the episode, Davidson’s bare arms were exposed as he continued to remove many of his tattoos.

Pete Davidson is paying tribute to his late dad as he makes rare public appearances after seeking mental health treatment

Davidson sought mental health treatment in late July as he continued to focus on his sobriety, a source told PEOPLE at the time. An insider said his friends and family are proud of him Bupkis alum continued to take care of himself and that his mental health “has always been a priority.”

Following his stint over the summer, a source told PEOPLE that the comedian is “back in the swing of things” and doing well.
