Pete Davidson’s mom, Amy, remembers her late husband Scott, who died on 9/11.
On Monday, Saturday night live Alumina’s mom shared some photo memories of Scott, the New York City firefighter who died in the 2001 terrorist attacks, to mark the 22nd anniversary of the tragedy.
“The happiest days of my life, and I didn’t know it 💙” she wrote in a post on Instagram. “Never forget and always be grateful 💙”
The snaps include Amy and Scott hugging, young Pete trying out his dad’s firefighting gear and his sister Casey smiling in his dad’s arms.

In March, Pete, now 29, recalled how he learned his father had died during the 9/11 attacks.
“My dad told me he was going to pick me up from school on 9/11. My mom picked me up,” he said on Real podcast. “She didn’t tell me what was going on for about three days.”
He continued: “She kept telling me, ‘Daddy’s at work,’ ‘He’s coming home,’ whatever. I had no idea.”

The comedian, who was seven years old at the time, said his mother “grounded” his television viewing, possibly to avoid media coverage of the attacks.
He added: “Then one night I turned on the TV and I just saw my dad on the TV. I said, ‘Oh, OK.’ And they were like, these are all the firefighters who are, like, dead.”
“It was strange because we didn’t know he was dead for about three weeks,” he explained. “They were finding people, you know? They were pulling people out of s—, and there was just kind of hope. Like, it was just up and down and nobody knew how to deal with it.”
Pete and his sister Casey have since honored their father on past anniversaries of the attack.

“This year more than ever I wish you were here. We miss you, celebrate you and remember you every day. I’m proud to be your girlfriend 💜,” Casey wrote in the 2022 post, along with three pictures of the late family patriarch.
In 2015, the actor shared a series of tweets remembering his father, interspersed with jokes and thanks to friends who reached out to him that day, writing: “I really appreciate it. I’m a very lucky guy.”

He ended his message on a serious note, tweeting: “Kidding aside. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. You are my hero. Can’t wait to see you again one day.”
