Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin Play Criminal Twins on a Wild Mission in Action-Packed Brothers Trailer

Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage play twins on a wild mission to make millions in their latest film.

On Tuesday, September 17, Prime Video released the first trailer for brotherswhich stars Brolin, 56, and Dinklage, 55, as twins from a long line of criminals who reunite for one last score — and along the way, inadvertently reunite with their estranged mother (Glenn Close).

Brendan Fraser also stars in the trailer, intimidating Dinklage’s character Mike into returning some valuable prized emeralds. As Mike explains in a voiceover, he and Moke (Brolin) have always been scheming, but after Moke gets married, he turns away from a life of crime until Mike draws him back in.

After the couple is unexpectedly reunited with their mother after a decade of estrangement, Mike hatches a plan for the three of them to work together and earn $4 million, with high-stakes action and funny moments to come.

Marisa Tomei, Taylour Paige, M. Emmet Walsh and Jennifer Landon also star in the Max Barbakow-directed film (Palm Springs) and written by Macon Blair (Venomous avenger) based on a story by Etan Cohen.

Barbakow said Entertainment Weekly watching the star-studded cast relax on set: “Like a murderer’s row of respected actors who have been so bent on becoming silly and weird. It’s a real mess.”

brothers “tells the story of a reformed criminal whose quest to reform is derailed when he reunites with his sanity-testing twin brother on the cross-country journey of a lifetime,” according to the synopsis.

“Dodging bullets, the law and an overbearing mother along the way, they must heal their broken family bond before they end up killing themselves.”

brothers marks Brolin’s second appearance on the big screen in 2024 after reprising his role as Gurney Halleck in Dina: The second part. He also starred in the second season of Prime Video’s Outer range this year. For Dinklage, the film marks the third year this year, after appearing in Unfrozen and The Thicket.

brothers is in select theaters on October 10th, then streaming to Prime Video on October 17th.
