Bridgerton and Phoebe Dynevor fans around the world have some bad news. Phoebe Dynevor, the love interest of the series, has hinted that she won’t be returning for a third season. Unfortunately, this happened just as the network was preparing for a big season. Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, is one of the most compelling characters on the show.
Phoebe’s role on the sitcom is Daphne Bridgerton, the fourth oldest child of the Bridgerton family. She is also the oldest child. Her role has matured considerably over the past two seasons and fans have certainly asked for more from the talented actress. Phoebe told Screen Rant in an interview:
“Unfortunately, not in season three, but maybe in the future. But I’m happy to see Season 3 as a viewer.”

More about Phoebe Dynevor’s involvement in Bridgerton
Daphne Bridgerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor) is the main character in Bridgerton Part 1. Her character not only has a long history, but is also one of the most important ingredients in continuing the plot of Bridgerton Part 2. Although fans were hoping for more from the character, the story will end tragically at this point. On the other hand, Phoebe Dynevor didn’t make it clear that she would never return to the show.
Daphne holds the title of Duchess of Hastings and has been planning her ideal wedding for years. She eventually married Simon Basset after meeting him at Lady Danbury’s prom while trying to avoid Nigel Berbrooke’s attention. Their love story was an important part of the show’s first season, laying the groundwork for subsequent storylines. The second season focuses on a new couple, Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). Another new couple will become the highlight of the well-dressed Bridgerton in the upcoming third season.
The third season was supposed to feature Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). According to the showrunners, all the other characters will return for the third season.
Nicola Coughlan, a Netflix panelist, revealed the announcement to the hosts. She stated:
“I’ve kept it a secret since season two started two weeks ago… If you’ve seen Penelope worship this guy in another season, you’ll be like, ‘Calm down, Penelope!’ Come on, let’s get over it and move on… I believe people will still be hooked. I believe book lovers will be pleased.”
Bridgerton has a large cast that includes several well-known actors. Lady Danbury is played by Adjoa Andoh, Lady Whistledown is played by Julie Andrews, Mrs. Varley is played by Lorraine Ashbourne and Penelope Featherington is played by Nicola Coughlan. Among many others, it stars Bessie Carter as Prudence Featherington, Ruth Gemmell as Violet, Viscountess Bridgerton, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony and Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton.
