Pierce Brosnan and Wife Keely Step Out for Date Night at Oscar Wilde Awards in Los Angeles

Pierce Brosnan had his biggest fan by his side on Thursday night.

Ahead of the Oscar Wilde Awards in Santa Monica, California, the 70-year-old actor and his wife of more than 20 years, Keely Shaye Brosnan, posed for photos together as they walked the red carpet at the Bada Robot Productions offices.

The longtime couple showed off their love by wearing matching black outfits.

Pierce Brosnan celebrates 25 years with wife Keely: ‘Thank you for your love my love’

The Irish-American actor wore a collared shirt under a black jacket, while his wife wore a black blazer over a satin blouse.

Brosnan, known for his decades-long Hollywood career including playing the titular 007 in several James Bond films, was honored at Thursday’s event alongside fellow actress Molly Shannon, as well as Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Richard Baneham, who worked on Avatar and its recent sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water.

Also known for roles in Dear mother!, Cinderella, Fast Charlie, Black Adam and more, Brosnan is described in an official statement as “an actor, film producer, environmentalist, philanthropist, artist and two-time Golden Globe Award nominee known for his rich and extensive career in front of the camera and behind the scenes as a producer.”

“The success of Irish actors in the film industry in recent years has highlighted the extraordinary talent in Ireland,” said Trina Vargo, founder of the American-Irish Alliance, in a statement, adding of Brosnan in particular: “We are delighted to honor one of Ireland’s most talented path-breaking legends .”

Brosnan married Keely (née Smith) in 2001 after the couple first met in 1994. They have two sons: Dylan, 27, and Paris, 23. (Brosnan also has a late daughter Charlotte and sons Christopher, 51, and Sean, 40 , with his first wife, the late actress Cassandra Harris.)

In a December 2023 Fox News interview, Brosnan revealed the secret to keeping his marriage strong with Keely, 60.

“We love each other very much. We love each other very much,” he said. “We’ve been on that journey and we’ve seen many, many hardships as a family, as we all do.”

“But watching someone grow up with you and grow old with you is a very spiritual journey,” Brosnan continued of his wife. “Watching each other change… whatever it is, hair, waistline. But that’s love in the heart.”

Keely told PEOPLE what she loves most about her husband in 2022 as the couple walked the red carpet at the film’s premiere Black Adam in New York.

“His heart,” she said then. “He has a big heart, a generous, warm, kind heart.”
