Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Helps Daughter Paige Find Her Dream Wedding Dress: 'A Really Special Weekend'

Rea Drummond’s daughter Paige’s wedding preparations are in full swing!

On Sunday, September 15, the Food Network star, 55, opened up about taking Paige, 25, wedding dress shopping on her Pioneer Woman blog after it was revealed her youngest daughter had gotten engaged to her boyfriend of a year, David Andersen, August 4.

Ree also shared two snaps on her Instagram stories from the outing. One photo shows mother and daughter posing in one of the stores, with Paige wearing a long white dress with strappy sandals, while her mom wore jeans and a white blouse.

“I had a really special weekend doing a really special thing!” the mother of five wrote alongside the photo, linking to her blog post.

Another shot shows the wedding dress buyers – Ree, Paige, Alex Drummond and David’s mum and sister – enjoying their glasses. “We said yes to champagne!!” Ree wrote, adding The Dixie Cups’ “Chapel of Love” alongside the post.

Paige also posed with the caption “I said yes to the dress” on her Instagram stories, writing “Found something really special this weekend!!!” and tagging along to Warren Barron Bridal in Dallas, Texas, where her sister Alex, 27, found her dream dress four years ago.

Sharing more snaps from the special day on her blog post, Ree told fans all about it.

“There’s something about shopping for wedding dresses that feels like an official start!” she began, adding, “Oooh, ahhh, we were sipping champagne and doing all the things us girls do in these circumstances.”

After revealing that Paige had tried on a total of 40 dresses, Ree told fans: “Luckily, she moved at lightning speed and only stuck to the ones she knew she loved. I have a feeling forty dresses isn’t that unusual, but I would be I’m exhausted from having to buckle up so many times.”

Paige ended up “finding the dress of her dreams,” the social media personality explained, but didn’t share which one she said “I do” to so as not to spoil her big moment.

“I PROMISE you that I will post a gallery of all the contestants the week after the wedding next May. It was such a fun fashion show and I would love to explore all the options and details and share what I learned,” she said. insisted. “So far, I’m so thrilled for Paige that she’s found a dress that she really likes and feels is right for her.”

Ree’s latest blog post comes after she revealed she kept the engagement a secret for “about six weeks” before David popped the question to Paige.

“I’m so relieved to finally be able to share this news as the stress has been getting to me,” Ree began her post on Aug. 4, explaining that the couple got engaged that night.

After the big announcement was revealed, Ree took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos from the proposal. “Happiness to see your daughter happy! 😊❤️ Congratulations, David and Paige! (This is going to be fun!),” she captioned the post.
