Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Says Daughter Paige Officially Moved Back Home to ‘Work on the Ranch Full-Time’

Ree Drummond’s daughter Paige is officially back on the ranch full time!

IN A pioneer In a May 20 blog post, the Food Network star, 55, opened up about her 24-year-old daughter’s return to the family ranch in Pawhuska, Okla. Writing about her husband Ladd’s “favorite cowboy,” Ree shared, “.. .And his name is Paige!”

“Paige came home in January to work on the ranch full time. She is gaining experience in every aspect of ranching, from sorting cattle to weaning calves to fixing fences and water holes to building salt boxes and a long list of other things – on jobs,” she wrote of Paige, who works at Drummond Ranch.

“She gets bumps, scrapes, bruises and bumps… and only time will tell if she stays in this for long! Ladd loves having her home. (Psst. Me too!)” added Ree.

Last month, Ree gave her followers a glimpse of Paige’s duties at the ranch, but didn’t confirm that she was back full-time.

Paige, who previously studied at the University of Arkansas, went about her early morning duties, including feeding cattle, in a clip from Ree’s Food NetworkA pioneerwhich was also shared on Instagram.

Ree explained in the clip, “Paige starts pretty early in the day. He comes to the ranch from the city, fills his feeder and then goes to the pasture to feed the cattle.”

“Foraging is one of my favorite things because you basically just get up and get in your truck and drive around and the sunrises are really beautiful,” Paige said. “Honestly, I really enjoy feeding. It’s just fun and it’s honestly kind of peaceful.”

Paige pointed out that her life now is very different from working in an office. “My morning meetings look a lot different now that I’m working out here,” she said.

“Instead of being in an office building, I’m here with all the cows. So it’s definitely very different, but I personally love it,” Paige added.

Ree and her husband Ladd are also parents to Alex, 26, Bryce, 21, Jamar, 21, and Todd, 19.

In her recent blog post, Ree also wrote about the best part of parenting grown children.

“Can I just say that my favorite thing about being an empty nester is that the nest is really never empty for long,” she wrote. “They spread out for pockets of time, just long enough for me to dust and do all my laundry. Then just like that, the nest fills up again with pretty tall birds.”

Her youngest son is the first to return home for the season, added the author of the cookbook.

“Todd was the first of the kids to come home for the summer, and he immediately got out of his jeans and boots and started helping Ladd on the ranch,” she wrote.

She then joked that her washing machine was about to go into overdrive.

“After going through the rigors of football and school for the past year and a half, I think he likes to spend this time just getting dirty,” she joked. “And muddy. And manure. Please keep our washing machine in your thoughts.”
