Finally, there’s Landau, an old man with a fishing rod, without a Pokémon or a job description. While Landau may not have a Pokémon, his design is very similar to the Pokémon Dragon Drampa, suggesting he may have a connection to the past or future. It’s also worth noting that Chansey, Metagross and Rockruff appeared on a previously released airship launch poster.
The presence of these crew members suggests that Riko and Roy will have every comfort they could possibly need, a luxury that Ash and his friends never had. Pokémon Never before with such a large cast of ensembles, Ash’s travels ensure that only a handful of recurring characters appear at one point in their travels.
