The streamer announced her retirement from the internet on Twitter and stated why on July 19, 2022. “I felt like I needed a mental reset and some time to focus on myself and my life away from the internet.” “Proper breaks, in my opinion, are key to one’s health and longevity at work,” she said on Twitter.
She said she was grateful for the support of her fans over the years and thanked them for putting her in a position to rest like this. But this is not the end of her online journey; she said she plans to return rejuvenated and ready to create more material.
She didn’t specify what she’ll stop doing as part of her hiatus, though fans may no longer be able to see her regular Twitch sessions. Pokimene is the most popular female streamer on Twitch and the most viewed content provider. She has not yet announced her return schedule.

With such a large fan base, it’s not surprising that the news of their favorite streamer’s termination hurt them. However, since the Pokimane indicated that it was a mental health issue, they expressed their support on social media. While most viewers were sympathetic, others chided the streamer for taking a vacation. These people stated that Pokimane went on vacation because her streams were in trouble, giving the impression that her life was miserable.
Pokimane is the recipient of the Legacy Award
Pokimane announced the news on Twitter after winning the coveted Legacy Award at The Streamer Awards 2022. She expressed her gratitude after receiving the award and said she did not expect to win it. She had no expectations as she competed against streamers like Sodapoppin, Scarra and Summit1G. “When I say that I did not expect to win, I really mean it. I still can’t believe I won anything. “I didn’t expect to win anything,” the Twitch star said.
Pokimane said the honor should have gone to Sodapoppin. She said the streamer has been broadcasting since the beginning of Twitch and has been her hero since she started yelling. She also mentioned how her fellow streamer worked so hard while still maintaining a consistent audience.
