Post Malone Calls Meeting Taylor Swift ‘Inspiring’ — and Told Her He Wants to Rematch Travis Kelce in Beer Pong

Post Malone’s life is even “better now” since he met Taylor Swift.

The hip-hop star (whose real name is Austin Post), 28, appeared on Tuesday’s episode of SiriusXM The Howard Stern Show and talked about the times he met the pop superstar, 33, and her rumored boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

When host Howard Stern asked about the time the “Anti-Hero” singer praised one of his songs, the Grammy-nominated singer/rapper explained that it was a complete surprise. “I was doing, I mean, doing a show or something, and we were just walking by and she said, ‘Oh my God, I’m glad to see you. ‘Better Now’ is fucking amazing,’ said the ‘Congratulations’ artist.

The cameraman went on to share how stunned he was at that moment. “And I was like, ‘What? That’s fucking crazy. You’re a great fucking songwriter. Thanks a lot.'”

“There are so many beautiful artists in the world and to admit that to another artist is a really, really, really gut-wrenching thing,” the hitmaker said. “It’s a really special thing. So I think that was a really cool moment, and it was very inspiring.”

The “Sunflower” singer also mentioned that he recently hung out with the Grammy winner, who he called an “absolutely amazing” songwriter and “truly one of the kindest and most caring” people. The last time he saw the “Karma” musician, he told Stern, he took the opportunity to tell her to text Kelce, 34, that he’d like to play beer pong with him.

“I told Taylor, tell him I said your elbows were crazy and you can’t let your elbows go over the table. So, I would like a rematch,” added the rapper.

Malone, who welcomed a daughter with his fiancee in May 2022, also joked that “becoming a father” must have affected his party game skills. He said: “I think that automatically deducts two points.”

While his tennis skills might be lacking lately, the “Rockstar” rapper also told Stern that he’s committed to performing for his fans even when he’s not 100 percent healthy. He talked about a performance in South Korea where he ended up on the ground after injuring his hamstring and glutes, and another incident in which he broke his ribs after falling through a hole meant to lift a guitar on stage.

Malone released his fifth studio album Austin in July and supported him on tour on the North American If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying tour from early July through August.

Shortly after the release of the record, he appeared with Alex Cooper Call her dad podcast and opened up about how he is “the happiest [he’s] ever was,” partly because he became a father.
