Pramod Pathak was born on December 23 and hails from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. To complete his formal education, he moved to Nainital, Uttarakhand, where he lived for eight years. After that, he returned to Kanpur and worked in the family business. After working in the family business for a year, he lost interest and went to Mumbai in search of job opportunities. In Mumbai, he earned a living by working in a market research company in Churchgate, South Mumbai. In 1996, he joined a theatre troupe in Mumbai and decided to pursue a career in acting.
