Then, Bhujpal fulfilled all his dietary requirements. He quickly mastered the 400m and 800m events. He originally planned to drop out after seventh place as his family could not support further studies, but soon joined Krida Prabhodhini at the insistence of a school teacher. He was soon trained at Balewadi in Pune. But since he performed well, fitness tests conducted there showed that Jadhav was better suited for archery. He was then sent to Amravati to train under Praful Dange, Krida Prabhodhini’s archery coach.During a training session, Praful said

“Archery is a tough sport and many aspirants lose patience within a year. Jadhav has to survive this period. “We make archers train with bamboo bows for a year. Only after they show enough interest will a professional bow be given. “

Profession

Due to malnutrition, Jadhav was weak and often had difficulty lifting the recurve bow. He often experienced severe pain while shooting the bow, prompting Krida Prabhodini to remove him from the program. Bhujpal did try to get him back in the program but was unsuccessful. Bhujpal then approached Mr. Palkar, a sports enthusiast, to help him. Mr. Palkar agreed, and they drove 800 kilometers through the night to Amravati, where the institute is located. Upon arrival, Mr Palkar contacted the authorities in Kridar to give Jadhav a chance to prove his worth. They agreed, and he was given a total of five chances. Jadhav succeeded in all these attempts and scored 45 runs. He averaged nine tenths per shot and impressed the authorities so much that they agreed to let him back into the program.

Since his time with Krida Prabhodini was coming to an end, he had to arrange funds to buy archery equipment worth about Rs 2.5 lakh. Since he used to receive a monthly allowance of 9,000 rupees, it was simply not enough to bear the cost. But since he was an international shooter, the Indian government awarded him Rs 2.5 lakh in cash. Soon his financial situation stabilized.
