Iskra Lawrence gets real about body image.
The British model, who is pregnant with her and boyfriend Philip Payne’s second child, took to Instagram to reveal her insecurities after stepping out in a bump-baring crochet top, tank top, micro shorts and gold English leather loafers for the Cupshe’s Birthday event Pool House on June 26.
“Uncertainties are not completely ruled out even after years of ‘doing the job’. I feel like after living with body dysmorphia/ED, it’s always still somewhere in the back of your mind,” Lawrence, 33, wrote in a lengthy caption on Instagram.
She admitted that she “almost didn’t wear” the revealing look because she was “feeling super insecure about the swelling in her legs.”
“Your girlfriend always had stubby legs. I actually grew up ‘warned’ that I would get ‘Lawrence’s ass and leg’ as if it were a curse and something to be feared.”

She added: “Most of the time I am empowered by the strength of my legs (I know that perfect does not exist and I do not compare myself to smooth retouched pictures where lumps, bumps, stretch marks, scars, bruises, veins, pigmentation are natural, normal and beautiful), but I have to be real.”
Lawrence then shared that she was going through a period of self-consciousness with her body. “But,” she added, “thanks to FI for not letting that (or recent troll comments) stop me from wearing this @cupshe outfit to their birthday party.”
She concluded her message with the words: “Little Iskra would be proud to wear short shorts unapologetically and I hope this is your reminder to still show up and meet if you’re going through a difficult body image day/week/month/year. it’s enough.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Lawrence addressed opponents.
After walking in Cupshe’s fashion show during Miami Swim Week in a bikini (which was a real maternity style moment), she revealed that she received negative comments about her body. Her response was to clap back with the class.

“I still can’t believe that in 2024 (and with everything going on in the world) fat shaming a pregnant woman seemed like the best use of your time?” she wrote on Instagram under photos of her catwalk moment.
Lawrence also shared the post on her Instagram stories, telling the “haters” that their comments “only motivate me to show up and be more confident and prove that all bodies are worthy and enough.”
Lawrence and her partner are also parents to a 4-year-old son, Alpha. In April, she announced in an Instagram post that she would be raising her offspring and “finally be a family of four.”
