A heavily pregnant Whitney Dean is mowed down by a car in the first look at actress Shona McGarty’s exit story from the soap opera.
The star was pictured filming what could be her final scene on the BBC show alongside co-stars Natalie Cassidy, James Farrar and returning show host Patsy Palmer.

In the dramatic scenes, which took place on a night shoot, Whitney can be seen running through the streets as she appears to be chasing a mysterious young girl.
A young girl next to the community center appears to be scavenging for food and Whitney tries to help her.
Rejecting her help, the girl flees to the run-down estate as Whitney, Bianca, Zack and Sonia follow suit and chase after her.
Trouble soon ensues when the group stumbles upon the girl’s drug-addicted mother and a large, violent fight breaks out.
This leaves Whitney with tears in her clothes as she continues to make her way through the property and hunt down the girl.
Running across the road, there is a showdown between the two and danger is just around the corner.
Spotting the oncoming car, Whitney jumped to protect the young girl and pushed her out of the way.
Tragically, the heavily pregnant character then crashes into a vehicle at full force, sparking speculation that she could meet her end this way.
A horrified Zack and Sonia can be seen with open mouths and teary eyes after Whitney wrecks her motorbike.
Viewers know that Shona is expected to film her exit scenes for the soap every day so could a car accident have killed the popular character?
Actress Patsy Palmer recently confirmed that she will be returning to help with Whitney’s exit story, and since the actress was also caught on set, fans will think that the end for Whitney could be extremely bleak.
As Shona filmed the run-up to the crash, the brave stuntwoman took on the actual crash, wearing a dark-haired wig and clothes to match the actress.
The BBC declined to comment when contacted by The Sun Online.
