PRINCE Harry was unable to join the king at Sandringham after he flew to the UK because palace aides feared he would “never get rid of him”.
The Duke of Sussex has been told to take a hotel instead of staying with the cancer-stricken king.

The Sun can reveal on Sunday that Harry, 39, plans to have a long, honest conversation with his father.
He even hoped to join the king – who was recovering from cancer treatment – for a few days at Sandringham.
But instead he was instructed to visit Clarence House, his father’s home in London, for a short arranged face-to-face meeting – and was then told to find a hotel for the night.
Last week, Harry spoke to a US television reporter about his overseas trip to spend just 30 minutes with King Charles.

He insisted on Good Morning America that “I love my family” and then described how “illness can have a reunifying effect.”
Buckingham Palace is understood to have welcomed his quick visit to Britain as a kind “gesture” and “reason for optimism”.
But it was not believed to have led to a major thaw in relations.
When Charles called his younger son to reveal his shock cancer diagnosis, Harry “took it upon himself” to fly to London.

But after landing at Heathrow on February 6, he was told not to head to Norfolk, where the king, 75, had planned to spend time with Queen Camilla, 76.
While Charles was delaying his departure to Sandringham, Harry was instructed to go to Clarence House.
He spent 45 minutes inside, but only about half an hour with his father.
An insider revealed: “Harry came to see his dad, expecting to go to Sandringham. But instead he was asked to be at Clarence House and was limited to 30 minutes.
“He was afraid he would never get rid of it if he went to Sandringham.”
The Sussexes are buying their online name from Brit
HARRY and Meghan bought their internet domain sussex.com two weeks ago from a businessman of British origin.
They hijacked it for their revamped website using a broker who did not reveal their identity, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.
The Sussexes paid an undisclosed fee to American Neil Agate without arguing the price.
Tech entrepreneur Neil — from Sussex — created the unique name in 1995 — and stuck with it.
It was registered on February 4 — before Harry and Meghan relaunched sussex.com with the coat of arms nine days later.
Last week it appeared that they had rebranded their Archewell site which now redirects to their new one.
Neil from Maryland said: “I’ve been getting inquiries for years. You wouldn’t believe how many insurance companies there are in Sussex.
“Most of it wasn’t worth the trouble. I got an email from the broker in December and replied with my asking price. They accepted it.
“I think the price was fair. I didn’t know who was buying it. I’m very happy with the situation.”
Just six minutes after Harry left his meeting with his father, the King and Queen headed in a Bentley to the helicopter in the gardens of Buckingham Palace before flying to Sandringham.
Harry later stayed at a hotel in London, although it was not disclosed which one.
The meeting was the first time he had seen his father in private since the Queen died in 2022.
Older brother William, who was in Windsor looking after his wife Kate after abdominal surgery, did not join them.
Sandringham serves as a peaceful, stress-free retreat for Charles after his outpatient cancer treatment in London.
He was joined in Norfolk by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, who were at their nearby home in Anmer Hall for half term.
Harry returned to his wife Meghan, 42, and their two children in California after spending just 26 hours in the UK.
He has since attended a pre-Super Bowl party in Las Vegas before heading to Canada to promote his Invictus Games.

In his US television interview, Harry said he was “grateful” to be able to see his father and promised more visits this year.
But speaking on the new online show The Sun Royal Exclusive, author Rob Jobson said of the meeting at Clarence House: “After the first kiss and hug, I love you dad, I hope you get better soon, what questions will be raised? Things that will raise your blood pressure.”
The royal family has been rocked by the shocking claims made in books and television interviews.
There are also concerns about “what happens when the money runs out” after Harry and Meghan’s contracts with Netflix and Spotify are terminated.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
