PRINCE Harry has been left with a huge dilemma over the late Queen’s determination to protect his family, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex, 39, is reportedly toying with the idea of returning to the royal family after “losing his way” in the United States.

Harry left Britain in 2020 and flew to California with his wife Meghan Markle, where they now live with their two children, Archie (5) and Lilibet (3).
The members of the royal family announced on Instagram their plan to “retire” from their duties and become financially independent.
The couple said they wanted to “carve out a new progressive role” while continuing to support Queen Elizabeth.
But at a hastily convened Sandringham summit in January 2020, the Queen’s decision was swift and final.
The checked-out couple were told there was no such thing as a “half-in, half-out” role and that they couldn’t have their cake and eat it too as they were wished the best of luck in their new lives.
Royal author Phil Dampier explained: “The late Queen Elizabeth made it very clear to Harry that you can’t be ‘half in, half out’ of the royal family.
“You couldn’t do a few jobs here and there when it suited you, and also commercialize what you did in America.”
Sunday will mark two years since Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral Castle after a reign that lasted 70 years.
And King Charles stood by the Queen’s wishes, although a royal expert claimed he would “love” a reconciliation.
Mr Dampier continued: “I think the king would obviously want a reconciliation with his son at some point.
I know why Prince Harry will be coming home ALONE without Meghan forever – he’s petrified of her
“Not only because he would like to see his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet more.
“He only met them once or twice and it’s a very tragic situation.
“But until he’s fully fit and feels able to deal with non-stressful situations, I don’t think we’ll see much progress on that front.”
It comes after shock claims that Harry is seeking guidance on returning to Britain – and to the royal family.

THROUGHOUT her reign and ministry, the Queen’s role was that of head of state, while the Duke of Edinburgh remained head of the family.
But when Prince Harry and Meghan revealed on Instagram that they were stepping down from royal duties to live in America, it was a crisis that required the Queen to be both.
At a hastily convened summit at Sandringham in January 2020, her decision was swift and final; The Sussexes may be leaving the family business, but they don’t have the trappings that come with royal status.

In her statement, the Queen thanked them for their “dedicated” work, saying she was “particularly proud of Meghan”.
She added: “My whole family hopes that today’s agreement will allow them to start building a happy and peaceful new life.”
This new beginning was anything but peaceful for the queen.
Because even though the couple left royal service, they stayed in the family.
As one palace insider said: “They may no longer be working royals, but they are not in exile.”
Abandoning royal life and serving the crown and state was never a consideration or choice for the Queen.
She was catapulted into the inheritance when her uncle Edward VIII left royal service to marry divorcee Wallis Simpson in 1936.
The influence on her father left scars in the early years of the queen, but she rose and devoted herself to a life of service.
So in her mid-90s – forced into isolation at Windsor Castle as Covid-19 raged – the Queen was asked to step up and tackle this transatlantic family crisis, again and again and again.
He is said to have consulted with his former trusted associates here after getting sick of the Hollywood reps he and Meghan employ.
Friends claim that he feels he has lost his way and doesn’t like her overshadowing him in public.
Meghan, 43, took center stage during their visits to Nigeria in May and Colombia last month.
And those in Harry’s inner circle have noted that he appears to be enjoying regular solo trips back to the UK, while Meghan refuses to set foot in the country.

A source close to them told The Sun: “Harry is feeling increasingly isolated in California, which is causing him to reconnect with old friends back home.
“The trip to Colombia also really highlighted how Meghan is comfortable stepping into the limelight, while Harry looks very sullen, unhappy in the background.
“She wants to find her way back into royal life in the UK and is seeking advice from old friends and associates.”
Meanwhile, both Harry and William attended the funeral of their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes.
The last time they were together was at the coronation of King Charles – where they sat apart and Harry made a quick exit.
The Sussexes have been approached for comment.

A MONUMENT to Queen Elizabeth II will be unveiled to honor her life and legacy.
The sculpture will be opened to the public in St James’s Park in London in 2026 – which would be the monarch’s centenary year.
Plans to create a national legacy program and permanent memorial have been made following the Queen’s death on 8 September 2022.
Her former private secretary, Lord Robin Janvrin, was appointed chairman of a special committee that worked with the government and the royal household to create this monument.
He died at the age of 82 after an important career within the royal family.
An announcement about the nature of the sculpture is due to take place this weekend on the two-year anniversary of her death, the Mirror reports.
A monument to Queen Elizabeth II is to be placed near the statue of Queen Victoria, which is located outside Buckingham Palace on the Mall.
A cabinet spokesman said he would not comment on speculation.
The news comes after Queen Camilla broke the news about King Charles’ cancer, saying the monarch is “doing very well”.
Camilla visited the Royal United Hospitals in Bath earlier this week to open the new Dyson Cancer Center there.
She met several patients who were undergoing chemotherapy at the center.
Macmillan Cancer Support worker Suzy Moon asked about Charles during Camilla’s visit.
When Moon asked “Is he okay?”, Camilla replied, “Yes, he’s very well.”
Charles spent his end of summer vacation at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire.
The king’s ordeal with cancer began in January when he discovered he needed corrective surgery to enlarge his prostate.
He decided to let the public know what he was going through, which resulted in an outpouring of sympathy.
Brave Charles was touched by the public’s reaction but also significantly encouraged when it was revealed that the NHS website had 11 times more daily visits from men with similar problems.
