The Royal Hashemite Court is mourning the death of Princess Rajwa by her Jordanian father, Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif, just eight months after her royal wedding to Crown Prince Hussein.
In a statement published on their website, the court said: “The Royal Hashemite Court mourns the death of the father of Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Al Hussein, Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif, may his soul rest in peace. By By Order of His Majesty the King Abdullah, the Royal Hashemite Court declared three days of mourning, starting Sunday, February 18, 2024.”
“The Royal Hashemite Court extends its deepest sympathies and condolences to Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein, and the Al Saif family during this difficult time,” it said. in the press release.

Crown Prince Hussein shared a tribute to his father-in-law on Instagram with a sweet photo of the couple embracing in 2022 during the newlyweds’ engagement.
“It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we say goodbye to my beloved father-in-law. We will always remember his kindness, generosity and honesty. May God have mercy on him and grant us patience and strength,” the royal member wrote in the post.
According to Hello! magazine, Al-Saif is survived by his wife Azza Al Sudairi and four children: Faisal, Nayef, Dana and Rajwa.
Al-Saif was by his daughter’s side at her wedding to Crown Prince Hussein on June 1, 2023. However, he did not walk his daughter down the aisle. Princess Rajwa was escorted to the altar by her new brother-in-law, Prince Hashem, while her two new sisters-in-law, Princess Iman and Princess Salma, walked behind them.

Al-Saif and his wife stood by their daughter – while Crown Prince Hussein was joined by his parents, King Abdullah and Queen Rania – as they greeted guests arriving for the evening banquet following the wedding ceremony.
More than 1,700 guests were welcomed to the palace to celebrate the couple at a post-wedding reception. The guest list included royals from around the world such as Kate Middleton, Prince William, Princess Beatrice, Denmark’s current King Frederik and Queen Mary, Queen Máxima and the Netherlands’ King Willem-Alexander with his daughter Princess Catharina-Amalia, Queen Sofia and Spain’s King Juan Carlos , Crown Princess Victoria and Sweden’s Prince Daniel and many others… all came together for an unforgettable group photo.
