All about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ daughter, Malta
Chopra Jonas and Jonas, 31, welcomed their first child together via surrogate on January 15, 2022. She spent her first 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), arriving home just in time for Mother’s Day that year.
Back in January, Malti made her first public appearance with mom and dad when she attended the Jonas Brothers’ Walk of Fame star ceremony in Los Angeles.
There, the “Jealous” singer sent his wife and daughter off during his part of the group’s speech, saying, “To my beautiful wife, you are the calm in the madness, the rock in the storm, and I love being married to you. That’s the greatest gift. I love being parent with you. Malti Marie, I can’t wait to be here with you in 15 years and embarrass you in front of your friends.”

Chopra Jonas has long been an outspoken advocate for women and tells PEOPLE that having her own little girl has never changed her stance on women’s rights.
“I don’t know if he will [having my own daughter] it especially made me want to get behind amplifying women’s voices. It’s something I’m extremely aware of, being a woman who has the privilege of choosing my life and my career,” she explains. “There are so many women around the world who don’t have that opportunity.”
Still, Citadel star notes that motherhood has made her more aware of her own emotions, explaining, “It’s made me a little more sensitive and fragile, I think, and it makes me a little nervous. I didn’t expect that.”
