On April 3, 2015, she married Suresh Raina, a famous Indian cricketer. She is Suresh’s childhood friend. When they were very young, their families moved to different cities until they reunited at the Delhi airport in 2008; they only met for five minutes when Suresh was on his way to Bangalore for his IPL match. In an interview, talking about this, Suresh Raina said,
I have known Priyanka for a long time but never found the time to connect with her. I remember meeting her for five minutes at the airport in 2008. She was flying back to the Netherlands (where she works now) and I was going to Bangalore to watch an IPL match and we met for five minutes at the Delhi airport. Usse pehle main usse bachpan mein mila tha (We knew each other in childhood before that).”
In an interview, while talking about his arranged marriage with Priyanka, he said,
Priyanka’s father was my physical education teacher in Ghaziabad and my mom and her mom were very close. I would rather call it an arranged marriage because our families had known each other for a long time.”
In an interview, talking about Suresh Raina, Priyanka said,
I had no idea. My mum called me in Australia and told me that I was engaged to one of my childhood friends. Maine kaha kaun hai (I asked who that girl was). Then I spoke to Priyanka on the phone. Before the World Cup, after my mum told me that everything was settled, I told some of my teammates about my wedding.

After completing her Bachelor of Science, she started working at Wipro Limited Company in 2007. Two years later, she joined ING Company in Amsterdam area (Netherlands) as a Product Owner. Subsequently, she joined Accenture as an IT Consultant in 2011. In 2017, she started her own company, Maaté Natural Babycare, in New Delhi along with her husband Suresh Raina.
