Before becoming a social media star, Punit was working in a company in Ghaziabad and earning Rs 10,000 per month. In 2015, he lost his job and did not find another job for 1-2 months. Later, on the recommendation of a cousin, he started making lip-sync videos on TikTok. However, his videos did not receive many views but he still continued to post videos for almost six months. Some time later, one of his videos went viral, garnering 1,300 views and 96 likes. This inspired him to make more videos. Later, he started making comic videos based on daily life events, which received a positive response from the audience. His video “Apne maa baap ke tukdo pe palke so jaunga” is one of his most popular videos and later proved to be the breakthrough of his career. Many Bollywood stars like Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor and various social media stars later used the video to lip-sync.
In August 2022, he created a YouTube channel called ‘Puneet Super Star’ and started posting vlogs and funny videos. As of June 2023, his channel has been viewed more than 12 million times.
Big Boss OTT 2
In 2023, he participated as a contestant in the reality show digital series Bigg Boss OTT 2. On the first day of the show, he smeared toothpaste on his face and tried to destroy the Big Boss’s property. Later, he received a strong warning from the Big Boss and asked him to improve his behavior. However, Punit refused to do so and threatened to leave the show. Following this, he was evicted from the show and became the first contestant to leave the Bigg Boss house within 24 hours.
