Pushkar Sharma was born on Thursday, October 12, 2000, in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India (age 22; as of 2022). His zodiac sign is Libra. He started learning cricket from relatives when he was 5 years old and expressed his desire to become a cricketer, which was supported by his father. During his childhood, his family moved to Greater Noida near Delhi and he attended the YMCA Cricket Academy and trained under coaches Subhash Chaudhary and Jagat Kishore. At the age of 7, he moved to Mumbai and lived with his uncle Raj Kumar in Navynagar. He studied at Al-Barkaat Malik Muhammad Islamic English School in Korla, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Later, his father also moved to Mumbai and both of them lived in Qureshi Nagar, Mumbai. He played badminton and athletics for the school team before becoming a full-time cricketer for the school. He received his bachelor’s degree in commerce from Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University, Pauri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand, India.

Pushkar used to sit at the Azad Maidan in Mumbai and watch cricket matches on the field. In 2010, coach Nafis asked him if he wanted to join club cricket and he agreed and started playing matches for the school. In 2012, he scored 261 runs against BAK Swadhyaya Bhawan (Matunga) in the Giles Shield Elite Division Cup. This performance earned him a place in the Mumbai U-14 team’s training camp and later, he was named captain of the Mumbai U-16 team. He played for Bohra Cricket Club from 2012 to 2016. From 2016 to 2017, he played for the Shivaji Park Gymkhana team. In 2016, his father was diagnosed with cancer and Pushkar was unable to compete for six months. His father passed away on January 2, 2017, after which Pushkar took a break from cricket and almost retired from the game. After his mother suggested that he continue playing cricket, he started looking for a team where he could play cricket and make money. He played for Juhu Club from 2017 to 2018 and joined IndiaFirst Life Insurance Company as a call manager in October 2018. He also played corporate cricket for their team and won many matches for them. He became one of the best players and seeing how he was doing, his childhood coach Digambal Patkar told him about the opportunity to play in the Kenya Cricket League. He went to Kenya and scored 3 half-centuries in 4 games. Mansukh Hirani, Chairman of Ruaraka Sports Club and CEO of Hirani Telecommunications Limited, was impressed with his performance and offered him a job as a project manager for the company and the opportunity to play for his cricket team. He moved to Kenya in December 2019 and has maintained consistent scoring in many competitions. In 2021, he became the marketing manager of Hirani Te communications Limited. He captained Ruaraka Sports Club in Kenya’s biggest 50-over league, the Nairobi Cricket Provincial Premier League, in 2021 and scored 841 runs in 14 games. In 2022, he was selected for the Eldoret Elephants to participate in the African Premier League held in Kenya.

In the Dafabet African Cricket Premier League (ACPL Kenya T20) held in 2022, he scored 228 runs at a strike rate of 115 and took 5 wickets to help his team with an economy of less than 7 Nakuru Leopards won the trophy.
He made his T20I debut for Kenya in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa ‘A’ Division Qualifiers against St Helena at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda on 17 November 2022.
