Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell are more in love than ever.
On Sunday, Nov. 3, after the TCS New York City Marathon, James and Kirkconnell were stopped by viral social media account meetcutesnyc and asked questions about their relationship — prompting James, 32, to answer so sweetly that Kirkconnell, 28, was almost in tears .
They introduced themselves as if they had met on Bachelor “four years ago”, and then they were asked what they liked best about the other.
“Ooh, it’s so hard. There are so many things I love,” Kirkconnell said. “You just make everything brighter, for sure. He has a very, very bright personality and makes me a better person.”

James was equally flattering in his response, as he said of his girlfriend, “She’s my best friend. She’s my biggest advocate. There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for me, so just being selfless.”
The former Bachelor star then planted a sweet kiss on the top of Kirkconnell’s head — who he’s been dating since meeting her on the 2020 series.
She was then asked what was the best and worst part of having a boyfriend who ran a marathon, to which she complained about “waking up at 3am” on race day, but said the best part was “seeing him achieve that what he’s been working on for so long.”

The video ended by asking the couple what they were most excited about in the future, with James and Kirkconnell agreeing that the “food” on the horizon was exciting, before James gave a more serious answer.
“In the real future, having a family together,” he said, causing his girlfriend to faint.
“Oh, stop it! You’re going to make me cry,” Kirkconnell said as James kissed the top of her head again.

In the comments section of the viral account’s post, Kirkconnell said she and James didn’t realize who was asking them the questions. – I’m driving you crazy – she wrote. “😭 😭 I love you so much.”
James also commented, saying it’s “the biggest honor! 🫶🏾” to be featured on the account.

The couple has previously expressed interest in starting a family together, but there is one step that will most likely come first: engagement.
“We wouldn’t be together if it wasn’t for the same goal. I’m definitely excited about what the future looks like with us,” James told PEOPLE in February.
He joked that his proposal “will be something special because Rachael is very special”.
